Pea Ridge Red – Parker-Binns Vineyard

Pea Ridge Red.

Parker-Binns Vineyard, Tryon Foothills, North Carolina.

Non-vintage blend of 2016, 2017, 2018 harvest.

Estate grown Blend prominent of Merlot, also with Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Decanted 30 minutes.

Utilizing the Saignée method of bleeding off the top free flowing of the blend to create a rosè, leaves a more concentrated volume to ferment on the skins and stems.

This process leads to pronounced red fruit aromas and flavors with layered secondary notes.

Color is medium ruby.

Pronounced red fruit nose of red cherry, strawberry purée, raspberry jam, cranberry, and red plum.

Aged in neutral oak.

Pronounced flavors pop of strawberry short cake, raspberry jam, red cherry, cranberry, and red plum.

Layered to a lengthy finish with secondary and tertiary notes of dried apricot, wet stones, and forest floor.

A very good Bordeaux style blend out of North Carolina.

Expect it to cellar for only another year or two best. Buy to drink now.
