The 2023!Palmetto Wine Competition is scheduled for June 10th, 2023 at The Belmont Inn, downtown historic Abbeville, South Carolina. The Palmetto Wine Competition focuses on increasing awareness of South Carolina’s commercially produced wine, mead, and cider.

The PALMETTO WINE COMPETITION is open to any commercially available wines, meads, and ciders produced by state licensed South Carolina Wineries.

All wines produced of 100% South Carolina grown fruit are eligible for the Palmetto Signature Wine Awards which includes marketing assistance and the right to purchase and use the PSW seal. If you claim Palmetto Signature eligibility, check the line on the Wine Entry Form.

The Palmetto Wine Competition seeks to increase public awareness of the twenty-plus commercially licensed wine, cider, and mead producers of South Carolina. All of our producers are locally family-owned small businesses.
In past years, we generated press in several newspapers and online sites. Our goal for 2023 is to dramatically increase the level of exposure received for our competition. We need your help to achieve our goals. Please consider a sponsorship for 2023.
