Carolina’s Harvest 2021

2021 harvest at North and South Carolina vineyards is winding down.

We thought it’d be fun to take a look at harvest pictures from around the Carolina’s

Cartersville Country Winery in Timmonsville, SC harvests the muscadine with an automatic harvester.

The coolest winery in the Carolina’s was showing off their beautiful bountiful harvest of Cabernet Franc!

Raffaldini Vineyards in the Yadkin Valley AVA showing off harvested fruit drying out Appassimento style!

Tony at Wellborn Winery in Travelers Rest put in use the old ratchet press!

Many small vineyards rely on volunteers, or friends as in the case of Dover Vineyards in Concord! Most small vineyards harvest by hand.

Many harvest in wee hours of the morning, such is the case at Marked Tree Vineyard in Flat Rock.

2021 appears to have been an excellent harvest. Just look at the beautiful Petit Verdot from Haze Gray Vineyards in Dobson.

Chuck and his team at Shadow Springs Vineyard were smiling about the big juicy Chambourcin.

Indeed harvest requires long days of hard work such as at Addison Farms Vineyard up above Asheville.

So go visit a local winery and raise your glass to the harvest of 2021!

Here Here, to a full and bountiful harvest! Cheers to local wine! 🍷🍷
